Seeing people take the step of baptism in their faith journey is getting a glimpse of a very personal moment that is intentionally public for others to celebrate together!
You can see the emotion in their faces, even in this somewhat awkward moment. What makes someone want to get into a metal tub of water? These Rescue Mission students are getting baptized to make a statement. They are grateful for the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, that has broken the hold of sin, addiction, and trauma, and they are experiencing freedom and a new life they never thought possible!
We are thankful for Mariners Church at Orange County Rescue Mission which provides the opportunity for baptism to those who want to take that step.
