It has now been over 2 years since we began hosting our biweekly apologetics class here at the Rescue Mission. What began as a class for our residents designed to answer questions about the basic foundations of Christianity has now expanded to become a time for members of our community to come together and learn what the Bible has to say on very important topics, such as suffering, science, miracles, heaven and hell and much more. We now have many regular attendees from the local community and churches in the area that join us each month for this class.
This is due in large part to the incredible speakers that we have had the honor of hosting for these classes. It is such an honor to have gifted, intelligent and faithful men and women like Dr. Sean McDowell, J. Warner Wallace, Dr. Leslie Wickham and many more take the time to teach at our local apologetics class. Many of these men and women are authors, professors, well-known bloggers and learned Bible scholars. It is a blessing that our residents are able to sit under their teaching. With their help, Orange County Rescue Mission is able to offer solid and foundational teaching on the most important subject there is to know well.

In the more than two years since the apologetics class began, the benefit of the curriculum has been so evident in the life of the Rescue Mission and its residents. Residents often comment on how what they have learned has impacted their relationship with God and their ability to communicate not only what they believe, but why they believe it. And from that, a true joy in Jesus Christ springs forth.
Thank you to all of the teachers that make the Rescue Mission Apologetics an engaging and beneficial environment for our residents to better know and enjoy God and share their faith!
